A board certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Rabb was born and raised in southern Oklahoma.  After attending the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Dr. Rabb went on to study at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, graduating first in his class in 1988.

Following medical school, Dr. Rabb entered residency in Neurological Surgery at the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles.  During this time, he also served as a visiting scientist at the Laboratory for Experimental Brain Research at the University of Lund in Sweden, from 1993 to 1994, having been awarded an American-Scandinavian Foundation fellowship.

In 1995, Dr. Rabb was appointed Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the Oregon Health Sciences University, where he was named Chief of the Division of Cerebrovascular Surgery.  Three years later, Dr. Rabb joined the Colorado Neurological Institute in Englewood, CO, as its director of Neurovascular Surgery Program.  Dr. Rabb joined Denver Health in 2003, as its Chief of Neurosurgery.  In 2005, Dr. Rabb was promoted to Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

An author of over 50 neurosurgical publications and book chapters, Dr. Rabb is experienced in the care of both brain and spinal disorders. He was recently appointed to the Editorial Board of The Spine Journal, and to the North American Spine Society's Professional Conduct and Ethics Committee.
