The Department of Neurosurgery here at the University of Colorado, continues the tradition of excellence outlined in our Mission Statement:

  • Define excellence in patient care
  • Explore and develop treatments for neurological diseases with both clinical and basic science research
  • Commitment to the education of residents and students as well as the continuing medical education for practicing neurosurgeons
  • Community service

We specialize in providing options and answers for simple to complex neurosurgical problems utilizing the experience of our faculty as well as the collaborations in our multi-disciplinary programs while utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. Some of the conditions that we treat include brain tumors, aneurysms, herniated discs and the surgical treatment of Parkinson’s and epilepsy with deep brain stimulation. Located under “System of Care” is a complete listing of diseases that we treat.
